Britain’s armed forces rely heavily on the contribution made by the Volunteer Reserve Forces (VRF). They serve alongside their Regular colleagues and are vital to the country’s ability to expand our forces when necessary.
Reservists could not carry out their important role and train to the required high standards of professionalism without the cooperation of their employers.
SaBRE South West as part of Wessex Reserve Forces and Cadets Association delivers the national SaBRE (Supporting Britain’s Reservists and Employers) Campaign support service to employers and reservist employees throughout the South West.
The SaBRE Campaign is tasked with promoting supportive employer behaviour towards Reservists through communication of relevant information, provision of advice and guidance on Reservist employment matters, and the raising of general understanding and awareness of Reservist activity.
One of the many ways that this is achieved is through an exciting annual programme of events and visits to military establishments around the region. This visit programme provide the ideal backdrop in which to raise awareness of Volunteer Reserve Service and to highlight the transferable skills acquired by Reservists. Employers interested in attending one of these visits should contact the South West Campaign Director, at the telephone number or email address shown below.
